My
friend Maria Rangel Last Update: November 11, 2013 |
A few weeks ago I downloaded the complete episode to six different
television shows Maria appeared in, back in the 1990s and early 2000s.
These six television shows are: CSI Miami, Hercules: The Legendary
Journeys,
Alien Nation, Renegade, Due South, and Pensacola: Wings
of Gold.
The file-size of these episodes are too large for me to upload to my site,
but I plan on creating a smaller video of just Maria's scenes, and after I do I will upload those.
I also downloaded seven episodes of the 1991 TV series Dangerous Women.
I will probably create smaller videos of just Maria's scenes from that series
too.
And finally, I have a VHS copy the following movies she appeared in:
A Million To Juan, Full Fathom Five, Legal Tender, Impulse, and
Ambition.
If I can convince a friend of mine to convert these to a digital format,
I can edit these movies too.
Scroll down to the very bottom of the page for a few still shots from these TV
shows.

most of the images below for a larger and more detailed view.)
Born
in Los
Angeles and raised in Lynwood with three brothers and two sisters,
Maria Rangel wanted to be a writer. Financial constraints
forced
her to rethink this goal and she turned to her vaudevillian roots.
Perseverance in a industry known for its lack of roles for minorities -- much less female minorities -- won her parts in soap operas, specifically, Days of our Lives and General Hospital. This gave her a chance to break into nighttime dramas and movies, including "Full Fathom Five" and "A Million to Juan." Often compared to Vanessa Marcil and Linda Fiorentino, Maria currently lives in Southern California and is seeking new challenges on screen and on stage. |

Interested in
hearing the Age of Love theme
song, Look of Love, as
performed by the group ABC? You can download the full mp3 here. Update: I'm temporarily removing this song and link! MP3 sites are linking to it and it's using up too much of my bandwidth! Here's a 14 second clip of the chorus from the above song, which makes for a good cellphone ringtone! (When Maria calls me, this is what I hear!) Finally, here's the lyrics to the song! |

Each of these four images is hyperlinked to a Flash Video (FLV) trailer. If your computer recognizes the FLV extension, simply click the graphic to open the file. Alternately, you can also right-click and save the FLV file to your own hard drive. If your computer does not recognize FLV files, you should first download and install an FLV player. There are many to choose from, for all operating systems. Try a Google search. |
