Here's an idea. The board pictured below is from the game FIELD COMMAND. It has three different levels and two different types of terrain. It might be fun to play Stratego on this board. Here's one idea: An officer's strength is increased by one or two units if he is attacking from a higher level. For example, the very middle square in the board below (F6) is one level higher than the four squares adjacent to it. If a Captain is attacking from this square, the Captain now has the ranking of a Major, (if his strength is increased by one unit) and would defeat other Captains. If his strength is increased by two units, he would have the equivalent strength of a Colonel and would defeat other Majors and Captains.
